People come from all over the world to visit Arches National Park, and visiting Delicate Arch is on the top of many visitors' to-do lists. In a park with over 2,000 stone arches, this particular free-standing arch has become a widely recognized symbol of the state of Utah and one of the most famous geologic features in the world.

The light opening beneath the arch is 46 feet high and 32 feet wide, making it the largest free-standing arch in the park. It has had more than a few names in its history, from the colorful ("Cowboy's Chaps", "Old Maid's Bloomers") to the prosaic ("Salt Wash Arch"). The term "Delicate" first appeared in a January 1934 article about the Arches National Monument Scientific Expedition, which described it as "the most delicately chiseled arch in the entire area."

The Tour

This tour begins with a morning hike to Delicate Arch that is approximately 2 hours round trip. Arches National Park is known for its many natural sandstone arches. This guided tour will allow you to learn about the history, archeology, and geology of this world famous National Park, with one of our experienced and knowledgeable guides.

This tour will take you into some of the remote backcountry areas of Arches, which few get to see. You will get to experience steep rock walls, sweeping sandstone dunes & fins, and meandering valleys.

After your hike you'll get to see all the sights along the pavement sections such as Wall Street, Park Avenue, Three Gossips, Balanced Rock, and the Windows Section.(Tour does not include Fiery Furnace hike)

All this from the comfort of one of our heated and air conditioned 4×4 vehicles.

Our guides will provide water and snacks for you. This is a private experience, and round trip is approximately 4 hours. We can make other stops or arrangements during the allotted time by request.
